Privacy policy

Last updated: 4 October 2026

1. Introduction

This policy explains what personal information LiveKhutbah ("we", "the service") collects, why we collect it, and how you can exercise your rights over it.

2. Data controller

You can reach the data controller by email at sam@livekhutbah.com.

For live sessions, the organization that runs the session (a mosque, school or association) decides what is shown. We process that session's data on its behalf.

3. Information we collect

We collect only what is needed to run the service:

We do not collect card numbers, passwords or identity documents.

4. Legal basis

We rely on contract performance to provide the service, on legitimate interest for usage statistics and the technical logs needed to keep the service running and secure, and on legal obligation to keep payment records.

5. Sharing

We never sell personal data and we do not show ads. We use trusted providers for AI language processing, hosting, email, analytics and payments. Each one only receives what it needs for its task and processes it on our behalf. Some of these providers are in the United States. For transfers outside Europe, we rely on Standard Contractual Clauses or the EU-US Data Privacy Framework. We do not use your data or talks to train AI models.

6. Retention

7. Cookies and local storage

We use a small number of cookies and browser-storage entries to keep you signed in, remember your language and text size, and measure basic usage. We do not use advertising trackers, ad networks, or tracking across other sites.

8. Your rights

You have the right to:

You can download a copy of your data from the app at any time: "Download my data", at the bottom of each page. It is a file with your account, the agreements you made, and the details, credits, payments and sessions of the organizations you manage.

To exercise any of these rights, email sam@livekhutbah.com. We respond within 30 days. If your request is about an organization's session, we may pass it to that organization. You can also complain to the data protection authority of your country.

9. Security

Connections to the service are encrypted in transit. Sign-in uses one-time codes or passkeys, so there are no passwords to steal. No service is perfectly secure; if you discover a vulnerability, please report it confidentially to sam@livekhutbah.com.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the service evolves. The "Last updated" date above will reflect the most recent revision. Organizations will be told of significant changes by email.

11. Contact
